About

What's in a Name?

In legal terms, “pure inference” means you didn't do your homework. In the world of software and artificial intelligence, pure inference is all about speed, iteration, flow, and growth.

Software Has Changed

We're living through a fundamental shift in how software gets built. The barriers that once required teams and months now dissolve in days. Every business can have custom, private, one-time-cost software. Every idea can become real.

Pure Inference Ventures exists to explore what becomes possible when creating software is cheap and fast. We build apps, conduct research, and ship products that couldn't have existed before.

Our Approach

We use AI not to replace thinking, but to amplify it. The goal isn't to have AI do what we want—it's to learn together, document progress, and build simultaneously. AI is the greatest teacher ever: tireless, patient, and always ready to answer one more question.

But we don't trust AI blindly. We don't trust ourselves blindly either. We ask questions, document everything, and verify. The best work happens at the intersection of human intuition and machine capability.

What We Believe

  • Tools over instructions. Good tooling beats lengthy documentation. We build systems that make the right thing easy.
  • Taste matters. Anyone can generate code. The value is in knowing what to build, how it should feel, and when it's done.
  • Speed enables quality. When iteration is cheap, you can afford to get it right. Fast feedback loops produce better outcomes than careful planning.
  • Data sovereignty. Users should own their data. Now that custom software is accessible, there's no excuse for lock-in.
  • No slop. AI makes it easy to produce mediocre content at scale. We'd rather ship less and ship better.

What We Build

Our portfolio spans fitness apps, financial tools, productivity software, and developer utilities. Each product starts with a real problem we wanted solved. We build what we wish existed, then share it with others who feel the same way.

We also publish research on where the industry is heading, what actually works, and what's just noise. The field moves fast; we try to separate signal from hype.
